I've had issues

The bank should not charge fees on my account for one year, they started charging after 6 month. I called them they said they put the money back already. I wrote a check to someone. The check was NSF because they did not put the money in the Bank. You call them they 'so what!' Even to close the account, they gave me hard time.

My advice Don’t trust this back with your money

Have savings, checking, equity loan and mortgage with them, but...

I joined National City because they had a branch next door to my company. It was nice when my company didn't have direct deposit. Since then I have had checking, savings, home equity loan and my mortgage with them. I have never had any problems with them. The online tools, including bill-pay, seem to work just fine. It's very convenient to have all my accounts and loans in one place, and to be able to manage them online. These days I think people should expect to have good online banking tools.

National City is merging with PNC Bank. Not sure what to think about that. Hopefully it won't cause any problems.

I am on extended business in New England, and they don't seem to have any branches out here. That is a problem. Apparently the checking account I have means I pay ATM fees out here. Yuck.

I am beginning to question the interest rate of my money market savings. The minimum balance of $1,500 isn't a problem, but the rate is only 0.55%. I am lending them my money too cheap, I think. Time to shop around!

good online banking but checking balance difficult to reconcile

I like the free online checking, but you can't see your checking balance until the check actually clears...so to know how much I truly have available in my account, I actually have to pull out a calculator!
