I've had issues

If I had left my account with Regions they do not cash their own checks unless you have an account there, I am in business and it hurts me for Regions to refuse to cash their own checks.

Do Not Bank with Regions

I didn't have any issues til recently, my account went overdraft and because they just kept tacking on fees, every deposit I made didn't help. They charged me 700.00 in fees. I called my local branch and was told to call someone else who told me they couldn't help me b/c it wasn't a bank error. I have been a customer since 2003, and they couldn't help me. My recommendation is to never give Regions Bank your money. Trust me I will be moving my account elsewhere. They could care less about their customers. They have made my life a living hell.

They have been found guilty in fraud DO Not Use

Hello, I will warn potential regions customers of there primary money making scheme: Say I overdraft my rend 800$ this should mean I pay a $30 overdraft fee so my total would be 830$, but instead regions bank will move that payment up, and tank payments that posted weeks about that total a few dollars each and move them to the bottom, so instead of getting one overdraft fee you will get 3 or 4 x 30$. You can call and argue for hours get the manager then the guy above him and they will probably fix it for you they have fixed it for me three to four times, or you could go to a decent bank that isn't out to get you. ALso they will remove posted items on friday so you appear to have more funds then you do then on monday all of it comes out at once to try and make you overdraft. Pay online bills? They will not post your credit card payments for days and days hoping you will over spend. Good luck don't say I didn't warn you. I'm joining a class action lawsuit regarding the first thing i mentioned!

Regions policies designed to charge fees!!! Beware!

They process withdraws and first and process deposits later to set you up for a fee. Try to get it back? NO WAY. Regions does not refund ANY fees unless its a bank error. Even if it was a bank error, good luck trying to prove it! LOL Need an example? I have a credit line attached to my checking. I had $100 in my account to transfer to me credit line. So, I set up the transfer online, and it showed everything was A-OK. Not exactly... They took the $100 out, sliped in an ATM charge to send the account negative charged a $35 fee, then they applied it to my credit line. I called cutomer service, and they said despite my arguement that the money should have been in one place or the other, they will not refund my fee. They make withdraws from accounts first, and deposits later. This helps them charge fees! I asked to talk with a supervisor, and she very snidely told me: "Sure, I will let you talk to my supervisor, who can tell you the SAME thing I am telling you." Great service, eh?

"too big to fall"

seems to be how they feel, now that they have merged with AmSouth Bank. After their bailout, they picked up AmSouth and have since gone from caring to not giving a care about their customers.

Mind you, this is not an overnight review. I've been with the same bank for over 20 years, faithfully staying after each name change and merger...from Magnolia Federal Savings and Loans to Union Planters to Regions/AmSouth.

Never once did I have an overdraft. All of my banking was automatic...withdrawals and deposits, until recently. In 6 months since their merger, they have taken nearly 3K of my money in fees and overdraft charges. This is one bank that slides in the biggest amount first on overdrafts, and then charges it's $35 fee for each amount that comes through after, instead of allowing smaller (first come, first serve) withdrawals through first, thereby causing a domino overdraft effect on your account.

Friendly advice from an experienced sucker....stay far away from this one. I'm changing as we speak. Just as soon as my direct deposit gets moved to my new bank, I will no longer allow Regions to rip me off!

I have deposited the same amount each time, but that did not seem to matter.
