worst customer care, they steal your money, I'm freaking in the hole!!!

Wachovia bank is the worst freaking place to put your money!!!! Since they've become a 'Wells Fargo' company the practice of banking has become as dirty as yesterday's socks. I had a positive balance and was charged with and OD fee! WTF? Yeah I had 22.00 in my account enough to cover my 21.68 in debit purchases and they posted an over draft which turned me neg. Now I will have 4 charges of 35.00 and the bank will NOT help me they simply say, it's how much we see is in your account...bull$hit--their pirates!!!!

Blood sucking leeches

I hate this farking bank. $175 in overdrafts on $4!!!!! WTF! How do you hit me with 5 overdrafts when only 1 of the charges went negative because I forgot to take out tip. No they processed the last 3 charges together and placed them in my hold. Which caused 2 overdrafts which they posted and sent me negative. Then the a$$holes moved the 3 transactions from hold to posted on my account and hit me with 3 additional overdrafts. I hate you people. I wish you and Wells Fargo had gone under. As soon as I get paid I am closing the account. 7 years of banking and when I hit financial trouble you try every way you can to gouge me with bull$hit charges. If you are considering this bank, shop around, loan sharks give better customer service than these leeches.

PS The "good" reviews are probably by comapny execs. My ex roommate used my debit card and they told me I had to get a police report to get a refund on the overdraft fees. Even though the other business refunded the charge and cops didnt do shit about my ex roommate. As for the "student", dont believe this comapny man, read my post and see what the real deal is.

DO NOT BANK WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The customer service (or lack thereof) for this establishment should be reviewed. There were fraudulant charges to my account, after I contacted the proper department for fraudlant charges they told me that I would have to take care of incident. They did nothing to help. Their online banking is incorrect and will not show the accurate amount in your bank. Instead, will hold the debited items in your account for days. Their customer service will just keep you on hold forever (prepare not to have anything to do if you need to contact them) and you will be sure to receive nothing but attitude and "I can't help you" from the other end. Find yourself another bank because this one should have closed down with the others.

The Bank is a disgrace and the customer service sucks

I went and made a cash deposit into the branch. The teller put it into the wrong account. She was off by a number and of course I had 3 checks bounce. I went into the branch and they apologized but there was nothing they could do right away. They had to put through some type of correction that would take 1 to 2 business days, but would note my account. SCREW THAT. I asked about the fees and they would only refund 20% at the time. I called customer service and threw a fit. They finally apologized for the branch and refunded me the remainder of my fees. Oh and that note on the account didn't do crap. An auto debit came through for my son's tuition which they returned and charged me again. They offered to write a letter for me. I have never had a returned check, overdraft fees or anything. As soon as the error was corrected I closed my account, got my letter, my fees refunded and told them to go F themselves. Unless there is no other banks for miles and miles and you really need an account than go with them but be careful. Otherwise I rather go to a small tom dick and harry bank just not to deal with that again. Oh and the branch was in HOWELL,NJ on Route 9. Go to customer service classes and take the 1-800 people along with you...

THIEVES. If money means nothing to you-bank with wachovia

Free checking-HA! what a joke! They will re-arrange items they had already posted in order to charge you NSF charges. If you bank here, take a screen shot DAILY of your account or you will get robbed-probably already have been-you should check,.

I've had issues

I emphasize that Customer Service has always been most professional ,courteous and helpful, even when my identity was stollen, the Fraud Dept. handled it in a timely fashion.

My disapointment is with the Financial Advisor and his Financial Specialist who is no longer with this Branch. How naive of me to assume that a Financial Advisor used to manipulate huge amounts of money would care enough to put the breaks on a small mutual fund of a 73 year old woman, who at this junction has lost more than half Mutual Fund; go from 52K to 23K by Feb of 09. What makes me so angry is that in Nov. and Dec. when the market was on a down turn, I asked what I should to and both times I was told to "do nothing, it will bounce back" Had I been advised to get out and invest in CD's I would have lost a few dollars, like so many other people, but not 60% of my IRA. This is my story with Mr. R.F. III, CLU, ChFC, CFP of Wachovia and their Financial Advisor!

Wachovia

Great bank with a multiplicity of options. As a student, I appreciated the overdraft program which gives you a 'cushion' of credit for overdraft protection instead of innumerable fees.

There are definitely other reasons to use Wachovia, such as availability of ATMs, (almost) free-checking, etc. But these are the main benefits.
