“No Complaints! Just Need More Locations.”
I've been with TD Bank for almost five years now, and so far have had no problems, and experienced relatively reliable customer service. I did have a few of the overdraft fees that I've seen other reviewers angry about, but I was alerted by the bank immediately when I overdrew and in cases where I could demonstrate that I had actually not overdrew my account, they waived the fee. Of course, I might have just gotten lucky with the branch/teller. Transferring money from the Investment Group from your savings account is also very easy and convenient. One negative I could claim is that while TD Banks are on every corner in Boston and to the north, further south they become fewer and further between. Hopefully there is a merger in the future that will let this great bank open more locations in and around New York!
“TD bank is a Thief.”
I usued to be a very happy commerce bank customer until TD took over. Forget about the massive charges, their statement contains lots of errors and they charge fees and penalties based on thier errors. Whenever you talk to customer service, there is no chance in hell that they will correct/fix the issue. They charged me about 15 over draft fees when I had cleared funds in the account!
They dont post any withdraws on time, they rearrange the transactions to bang you with fees. They are just a bunch of crooks. I am taking my money out and I will tell everyone I know how bad this bank is.
“Thieves and liars”
I loathe TD Bank for what they did to my Commerce. I have had nothing but issues ever since they have taken over . Let's list some reasons why TD Bank is awful, shall we?
- It takes them 5 days to clear money or a check issued from themselves. If you overdraw while your money is mysteriously hanging in limbo -FEES GALORE!
- They decided to randomly charge an overdraft fee on each transaction, and NOT tell their customers. I asked the incredibly rude CSR about this and she said that has always been the policy and she had no idea what I was talking about. That was definitely a lie.
- The customer service makes me want to commit defenestration.
- While out of town, I managed to accrue over $300 in fees in one day. This was because of the bank's error, but they would only credit me back $70. They called this a "courtesy". Oh thanks TD Bank.. you're the greatest.
- It almost seems like they intentionally structure the order in which your transactions clear so they maximize profits. Sounds crazy but I never, ever had any of these problems with Commerce.
The Devil's Bank is full of so much blatant carelessness and crooked policies, I really can't believe anyone still banks there. I'm closing my account today.
