Do you remember when Google was just a search engine?
That was years ago… eons ago if you think in Internet time. Today Google let’s us call grandma on the phone (Android), share videos of the kids’ birthday parties with her (YouTube), share pictures of the little cuties with her too (Picasa), navigate our way over the river and through woods to her house (Maps) and find her if she’s lost in a Tsunami (bet you didn’t know about that one! It’s called Google Crisis Response.)
And if Google has its way, it will also be how Grandma and everyone else carries and uses money. It’s been one year since the tech giant that promises not to be evil decided it wanted to be at the center of the root of all evil.
In the following infographic we look at the first year of Google Wallet.
