Discover Bank Offers $25 Bonus on Savings, Money Market Accounts

Discover Bank is giving a $25 bonus to new customers who open a Discover online savings or money market account.

The deal

New customers must sign up for a Discover online savings or money market account using offer code PDOFFSAV by March 31, 2013 to earn the $25 bonus. Additionally, new customers must have a minimum balance of $10,000 on April 15, 2013 to qualify for the deal.

The accounts can be opened online or by phone.

The accounts

As of March 21, 2013, Discover’s online savings account is paying 0.80% APY while the money market account is paying 0.70% APY on balances of less than $100,000 and 0.80% APY on balances of $100,000 and above.

Neither account has any monthly maintenance fees. The money market account comes with a debit card and it offers free ATM access at MoneyPass ATMs, check-writing and online bill pay.
