Fifth Third Bank is offering $150 for new customers who open a checking account with direct deposit and make three online bill payments. In addition, the bank also donate $150 to Stand Up to Cancer.

The deal

To qualify for the $150 cash reward and the $150 donation to Stand Up to Cancer, you must first open one of these four eligible Fifth Third Bank Consumer Checking accounts, including:

  • eAccess Account
  • Essential Checking
  • Established Checking
  • Enhanced Checking
  • Preferred Checking

Requirements you must fulfill to qualify for these rewards:

  • Open a checking account with direct deposit.
  • Minimum opening deposit is $50.
  • Make three online bill payments.
  • Must be fulfilled within 90 days of account opening.

Your reward will be deposited into your new account within 6 weeks of fulfilling all requirements.

The offer expires Apr. 15, 2014.

From the five types of consumer checking accounts: eAccess Account, Essential Checking, Established Checking, Enhanced Checking, and Preferred Checking — Enhanced Checking and Preferred Checking are interest-bearing accounts.

The monthly maintenance fees are:

  • eAccess Account — free
  • Essential Checking — $11
  • Established Checking — $15
  • Enhanced Checking — $20
  • Preferred Checking — $25

Monthly service fees will be waived for all accounts when the requirements are met.
