This year the social media world paid attention to #GivingTuesday as it attempted to kick start the donation season. If you’ve been moved to give, here are some things to consider and to watch out for when donating to a good cause this holiday.
When donating, make donations directly to an organization, as opposed to using a middleman and make sure you choose an organization that you connect most with when deciding. In addition, remember to ask for a written receipt for your donation in order to make it tax deductible.
