In-flight commerce is going cashless. US Airways has started deploying MasterCard PayPass readers to make it easier for travelers to pay for in-flight purchases.

Passengers with MasterCard PayPass-enabled debit, credit and prepaid cards can tap their cards against a special payment reader to pay for things like snacks — just like they would at drug stores, fast-food restaurants and other locations.

US Airways is the first airline in the world to implement the PayPass system.
