First Bank is selling eight of its branches in the Tampa Bay area to HomeBanc. This acquisition will be Tampa-based HomeBanc’s entrance into Pinellas County.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that the deal will double HomeBanc’s footprint, bringing in an additional $130 million in deposits. Details of the terms of sale were not revealed.
First Bank is also closing two branches in Hillsborough County and one in Pasco County.
