U.S. Bank Waives Surcharges for Kroger Prepaid Debit Cards

Updated on Tue Jul 24, 2012

Owners of Kroger-branded prepaid debit cards will no longer have to pay surcharges at any MoneyPass ATM.

Minneapolis-based U.S. Bank, which launched a prepaid program with the supermarket giant in 2010, announced the change Monday.

“Providing surcharge-free transactions at MoneyPass ATMs demonstrates our commitment to enhancing our Kroger partnership and bringing added value to our Kroger prepaid debit cardholders,” said Peter Klukken, senior vice president at U.S. Bank. “Customers save money on groceries and fuel at The Kroger Family of Stores and Fuel Centers with purchases made using the Kroger prepaid debit card, and they now can save even more money by using them at the surcharge-free MoneyPass ATMs.”
