Chase Accepts Red Cross Donations at ATMs

If you’re looking for a fast and easy way to help the survivors of Superstorm Sandy, look no further than your closest Chase ATM.

The bank has instituted a system in which each time customers use a Chase ATM, they’ll be asked if they want to donate $5 to the Red Cross.

“Customers from all across the country have been asking us how they can help the families impacted by this terrible storm,” said Ryan McInerney, CEO of Chase Consumer Banking (in a press release.)

“We hope this is a quick and easy way to support the Red Cross with its critical efforts to provide food, shelter and warmth to the storm’s many victims.”

Somehow it seems that Sandy has turned Chase into some sort of helpful, community institution.
