Chase to Offer Instant-Issue Debit Cards at Branches

By the end of the year, customers at 2,000 Chase branches will be able to get a personalized Chase debit card  immediately when they open a new checking account or lose their existing debit card.

Typically, customers have to wait up to a week to receive a new debit card in the mail.

The instant-issue technology will be available in branches in and around New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles. Chase plans to install such technology in 800 additional branches during 2013. The instant-issue offering is also planned for Chase credit cards and the Chase Liquid prepaid card.

This instant-issuance of debit card is just one of the new innovations from Chase.
