Commerce Bank, based in Kansas City, Mo., introduced Visa Signature credit cards that have embedded EMV microchips, which have become the new security standard in many foreign countries.

“We are excited to offer our customers a product that will make international transactions more convenient and secure,” said Carl Bradhury, Commerce’s director of consumer card products, in a prepared statement. “We view the chip-enabled Visa Signature credit card as a way for customers to experience greater card acceptance, enhanced security and overall increased peace of mind while travelling internationally.”
