A MyBankTracker reader alerted us to a suspicious email that he received from “CITIBANK NEW YORK INTL.”
In the poorly written email, the recipient is asked to provide his or her name, address, contact information, government identification, account number and bank routing number to collect a whopping $14.3 million.
Needless to say, this email is an attempt to steal customer’s bank information — your bank will never ask for such information through an email.
