Originally announced in February 2012, Facebook in partnership with fintech company Bango has finally released a one-click system option to allow users in the U.S., UK and Germany to bill services like virtual gifts and game credits to their mobile phone operators.
Currently the service is only available through their mobile web service touch.facebook.com, this move is another sign of Facebook’s continued effort to look for ways to monazite their mobile offering and their 543 million monthly active users.
Because the service allows users to skip premium SMS or credit cards in order to complete these type of purchases, Bango has reported conversion rates as high as 77% among users. Bango also powers similar solutions for Blackberry App World, Opera Mobile Store and Google Play. With rumors of similar arrangements with Amazon.
