Fifth Third Bank has released a new update for its iPhone app, now allows customers to deposit checks through their mobile devices for free.
Customers just use take photos of the front and back sides of an endorsed check to have it deposited — no need to visit the branch or an ATM.
“We may establish limits on the number of checks or the total amount of checks deposits using Mobile Deposit. These limits may change from time to time without notice to you,” Fifth Third said in its deposit agreement.
Currently, mobile check deposit is not available for Android devices.
