Huntington Bank, based in Columbus, Ohio, has started to roll out new ATMs that are capable of accepting customers’ cash and check deposits without the hassle of dealing with deposit slips and envelopes.
This month, the bank plans to complete installation of the new ATMs in central Ohio. By the end of the year, nearly 450 ATMs will be upgraded in some markets. The rest are expected to be replaced in 2014.
Mobile check deposits are also expected later this year.
