After much anticipation in the social-media world, #GivingTuesday has arrived. So however you plan to give, do it today and be a part of the movement of thousands of organizations and hundreds of thousands of people in all 50 states.
This does not have to be a monetary donation — some offices chose to close today and “get out the give” with physical contributions.
Capital One urges its customers to make donations by debit or credit card on its No Hassle Giving Site, which cuts out transaction fees so that 100% of your donation makes it to the charity.
More impressive are the #GivingTuesday plans by Chase and Discover. As we reported earlier, both have made special arrangements to match contributions.
