For fans coming to Brooklyn to watch the Nets lose (probably) most of their games played during their inaugural season in the large insect-like thing they are calling the Barclays Center arena, ATM fees might not be the first thing on their minds. But it also won’t have to trouble them thanks to Clinton Townsend, of Free ATM, Inc. These ad-supported free ATMs will be the official ATMs of the arena reports the New York Times Bucks blog.
There will be seven of the ATMs, which we’ve covered in the past, and they will play ads instead of charging users the $1-$3 fees ATMs in this city typically charge. According to Bucks, advertisers will include Yelp! and Metro PCS.
Banks that charge fees to users for using out-of-network ATM fees will, indeed, still charge a fee should you use a Free ATM.
