Plastyc, a prepaid card company, has unveiled its mobile check deposit feature for its family of prepaid cards.
With the service, customers can have access to their check funds immediately — for a fee of 1% for printed payroll and government checks or 4% for any other type of check. There is no fee for delayed access (five business days) to deposited funds.
Plastyc is working with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on an initiative to encourage innovation of consumer-friendly products and services.
