PNC Bank will collaborate with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to provide free tax services to low- and moderate-income taxpayers.
PNC will offer this service at 200 sites in 12 states and Washington, D.C. to those who earn less than $51,000 per year. Other PNC services provided will include financial education programs and free refund check-cashing.
“PNC remains committed to supporting no-cost tax-filing services for taxpayers, and assisting unbanked consumers in economically challenged communities,” said Cathy Niederberger, managing director of PNC’s Community Development Banking Group, in a release.
