Simple, the start-up with a goal to revolutionize consumer banking, has launched its Photo Check Deposit, which allows customers to deposit a check by taking photos of it with a smartphone.
The feature is currently available with the latest version of the Simple mobile banking application for the iPhone. (Simple does not yet have an Android app.)
Customers can deposit a maximum of $5,000 per day, or five check per day. Also, customers cannot deposit more than 10 checks per week or 15 checks over 30 days.
“This is a great moment for us, and for you: with Photo Check Deposit, we’re taking the next major step to replacing a traditional brick-and-mortar bank with something that fits your needs better,” said Collin Ruffenach, Simple mobile engineer, in a blog post.
