Tardy Tax Season Means Tardier Tax Refunds

This year, everybody has an excuse to procrastinate on their taxes: They don’t have a choice. As a result of Congress hemming and hawing at the edge of the fiscal cliff, tax season has been slightly postponed.

The start of tax season was already delayed for one week, but tax refunds could take longer than that to arrive in your mailbox. Taxpayers who normally collect refunds as early as January will have to wait until at least mid-February, reports MarketWatch.
