U.S. Bank announced the start of a pilot program for its mobile payments service called U.S. Bank Go Mobile. Initially, the service is available in Salt Lake City, Utah and Portland, Ore. — the bank plans to expand to more markets later this year.

“We have incorporated all of the feedback we have received from prior pilots and our customer research into this latest offering and we are excited to offer U.S. Bank Go Mobile in these two markets,” said Dominic Venturo, chief innovation officer for U.S. Bank Payment Services, in a press statement.

With a special U.S. Bank Go Mobile iPhone case for iPhone 4/4S, customers with the FlexPerks Travel Reward Visa Signature card can pay for purchases by waving their iPhones at a special payment terminal.
