“Ally does bait and switch on CD rates!”
Opened up an account and provided my funding account information when CD rate was at 2.84. By the time they actually funded my account 10 days later (no fault of mine as I provided all the information) they utilized the current CD rate which had dropped. I was not informed of this. I told them to either honor the rate or give me my money back. They said you can have your money back but there is an early withdrawal penalty. I'll never make a mistake like this again - I wouldn't trust Ally/GMAC ever again.
