Want a nervous breakdown? ... by all means choose KEY

Key Bank has the worst online banking on the planet, with some downright DIRTY and DECEPTIVE tricks to put your nerves over the edge. First off, the available balance changes from day to day depending on various factors, and regardless if an item is pending or not, KEY initially removes the funds. If they are not there, there comes an instant $39.00 overdraft fee, followed by lots more if things don't get straightened out in a hurry. If you CALL Key with concerns and you do it often, GET READY for more fees between $2 and $4 known as EXCESSIVE CALL fees. You write a check and it bounces. Most times Key will cover it, charge you $39.00, and then for every 5 days the account is overdrawn, add another $28.50. YOU must take the initiative to stop payment on the check or prepare to be RAPED by this bank.

As for CUSTOMER SERVICE, its a crap shoot. Sometimes you get really nice and helpful people and sometimes you get CRETINS who could care less about you and your situation.
Sometimes you get people who are RUDE as well. I've hung up on more than one person at KEY bank who treated me like crap.

There seems to be a new trend with many banks; TAKE ADVANTAGE of people who are no computer-savvy and have difficulty balancing check books. These banks WANT people to spend money they don't have. These banks WANT people to screw up their accounts. These banks WANT people to trust their on-line available balance.

Its not just KEY that screws people over, because there are many. The ONLY reason I stay with this putrid excuse for a bank is so when they are finally liable in a class-action lawsuit, I can be there to reap the benefits.
