    What a lame bank

When you try to have a banking relationship with your local bank for years and when you need them the most they are not there. I sent my sister a cashier's check from a wonderful bank Amegy which is part of Zion with $54.6 billion in assets and nearly 11,000 employees. It is a member of the S&P 500. With hundreds of locations. My poor sister gets the run around that my cashier's check has to be cleared. Spoke with Kathy at 1st Bank and she informed me she was following policy and that I should call my bank and the rules are the same everywhere. Well I did and my bank informed it would take a simple call to the bank issuing the check and verify the number and the amount and wallah you're done. Not at 1st Bank, I guess due diligence just takes too much time. Or, the one eyed man in the village of the blind is king.
