About Adirondack Bank

Adirondack Bank was founded in 1898, serving the needs of Northern New York State as the Saranac Lake Co-Operative Savings and Loan Association. It now has assets of over $440 million but the ideals of integrity, service and community involvement established over a century ago remain as the foundation of the bank’s operation today.

I can't take doing business with this bank anymore.

I have had a business account with this bank for about 10 years. I am a self employed general contractor doing business for 25 years. This bank's policy of "freezing" deposit checks over $5000.00 makes it impossible to conduct my own business. They hold your check for 11 days!
It's bad enough I have to pay my expenses and labor out of my pocket and then when I finally do get paid the bank USES my money for free. I deposited $7800. on Monday 11/3 and I received a notification on Fri 11/6 that my deposit is frozen. I live in Rome 2 blocks from the bank. They could'nt even take the time to call me. They even drained my savings account! I do have overdraft protection but this is NOT an overdraft. They had no right to go into my savings. My checkbook record is impeccable and my credit score is 810 and they still won't help me out. Two other banks have promised me I will not have this problem with them. First Source and Bank of Utica. Good bye Adirondack Bank. You lose.
