Upgrades And Glitches
After amalgamated bank's extensive ad/marketing campaign on its makeover and "improved" services on and offline, i am pretty disappointed by the outcome. The 11-14 to 11-17-2014 weekend online system upgrades that knocked users offline for nearly a 2 and a half days turned out to be a fiasco for me. I never had a problem logging into my account before the upgrades. When i attempted to log into my account the new system told me i needed to change my password, which i did.
Then i got an error message that said my "log in" was "unsuccessful" and to call the 800-662 0860 customer service number which i have tried to get through on for over 5 hours as of this writing. I also tried, fruitlessly, to reach customer service through the secondary number (800 699 3679) that is specifically listed for "password resets" and other amalgamated bank online issues. Ab's website states the secondary telephone is available 24/7 but when finally contacted a "live" representative at my local branch i was told the secondary number isn't 24/7.
The representative told me the number is only available only until 8pm (est) nor was she able to assist me in resetting my password. Based on the fact that i have been trying to get through to customer service for nearly an entire working day suggests to me that i'm not the only one having problems with the new online system. I don't think this upgrade to ab's online presence was well planned and the blow back is obviously overwhelming for their customer service department. A classic example of the "cost of non-conformance".Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?
