Didn't want to hold my money so after charging monthly fees for nothing, they sent me a check to close my account against my will
I run a small non-profit organization that kept an account at this bank for a decade. We keep a few thousand in an account. For years they charged us around a $5 "Account analysis" fee and apparently charging us that wasn't enough, last week they sent me a letter saying they want to send me a check for the value of my account to close it. I didn't know it was so difficult a task for a bank to hold your money. They didn't want my business, even if they made $5/month off it. Wasn't my choice to keep the money there because...
Personally, ten-fifteen years ago even though I had a $20,000 CD on their possession they wouldn't even give me an ATM (no not debit, only ATM) card to my measly $300 checking account I held in college. A few years later a friend gave me a check to run to them, since I was going there anyway, to pay off a loan they had with them. The loan officer, Lorna Reeves, actually LAUGHED in my FACE when I presented the payoff check to her. Who DOES that?!?!
I would strongly recommend you bank just about anywhere else.
