Love this bank!!
This is a great bank! When I walk in, the teller and manager, Kia and Rick, always address me by name, hey how are you doing, etc. it's nice to finally have a bank that is so personal and I've been with a few. I would definitely recommend this bank. They do have a drive through and they are open til 5. I've been to the Catonsville one too and it was just as consistent.

Stay Far Away From This Bank.
These people bought the bank that i had used for 40 years. Things went south in a hurry. After 40 years of no fees and great online banking - all of a sudden there was about $300 of fees and worthless online banking. The online banking is so inaccurate - you'll need an excel spreadsheet to figure out all the creative ways that fnb has their greedy hands in your pockets and your bank balance as a result. When i went to close my account, the branch manager had to call the home office to figure out my balance. (if she didn't know my balance, what chance did i have? ) also, the debit card never worked after numerous calls to customer service - and at least 50% of the time, the atms didn't work. Just stay away from these opportunist greedy bloodsuckers.

I have been unhappy with first national Bank now the Exeter Pa Branch on Perkiomon Ave In Exeter PA 19606 has closed the public restrooms to its customers. I stopped at that branch today and Leann the Branch Manager was in the ladies room when I knocked on the door she opened the door to tell me even thou myself and three grown children have over six accountants at this bank with thousands of dollars in this bank that this bank uses of my money everyday I CAN NOT USE THE PUBLIC RESTROOMS ANYMORE! What a disgrace what is the country coming to when a bank has your money and you cant use the bathroom. I have banked at this branch since 2003 back when it was commerce bank then metro. Another lady said they closed the bathroom because people stole the soap if a bank can not afford a bar soap they better close the door.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

I opened my business back in 7/2014. I used Metro Bank because they were friendly and had low fees. A year later I hear they sold to FNB. What a nightmare. First thing they decided to switch over during a holiday weekend, President's Day. My family and I had a trip planned to NYC for the holiday weekend. Found out we would not have access to our money from Friday 5PM until Tuesday morning. I couldn't use my debit card. I was completely in the dark over the weekend. Had no way to access MY MONEY. That was just the beginning. I do a lot of bank wire transactions for a good chunk of money. My bank fees went up from average $180/mth to over $300/mth. I also had an overdraft situation and tried to have the fee rescinded because it was the first time it happened. Customer service said there was no way to rescind and I could have a manager call me back. I asked for manager to call me back. Manager called me back four days later. BANK WITH THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK! Can't believe that they are actually still buying banks. I went with another bank that has a presence along the east coast, best decision I ever made.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

I think it's awful how they charge a $37.00 overdraft fee for someone who went over $0.45 by accident. They should at least have the decency to give a few days to pay it before charging or could give a call to the person. I could understand if it were a lot of money that was overdrawn. People do make mistakes!!!Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

If you close your account or don't use it often beware of all the fees.
Pay off your loan early - 1 to 5% of the balance
Dormant fee - $10 a month
Overdraft because you forgot to tell someone/or it wasn't changed in time: $38 plus $8/day
And you don't know this ahead of time unless you read their manual.
Check out Credit Unions - much betterThank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

I wish I had read some of the reviews when I was notified they are taking over Metro Bank! I only had $100 in as a fall back in time of need.... got piddly cents interest every year, but hey, it was just for when desperately needed. I also did not drive past the branch any longer since I had lost my job; No problem - so I thought. Man was I wrong! I did get a mailing that Metro was now FNB, but that was it. Then I received a statement: $10 dormant account fee and $4 what ever fee. For over 4 years that had been fine. I called, the wait ad said: "we help you save" REALLY? They told me a wrong address for the closest branch as well; got to another and cancelled my account, yup you guessed it: with another $10 dormant fee! So how do they help you save??? HIGH WAY Robbery I call this!
DO NOT BANK THERE!
On the brighter side, there is a new bank in town and they offer a $100 if you open a new account.... might try that one.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

Do I have to give a star?
Chances are, if you are used to Metro Bank policies, you will justifiably be discouraged by FNB's policies. Here are some of the differences:
1. FNB will cover debit card automatic payments if you do not have the funds available and then charge you $37.00 in ODFs. Metro simply denied payment and didn't charge anything. (If you had payments set up as EFT or ACH, then yes they would charge you and cover it.)
2. FNB charges $2.00 for all non-FNB ATM withdraws in addition to the ATM company's charge. Metro gave the first 4 non-ATM withdraws free each month.
3. FNB does not carry bank card stock so you cannot get a new bank card printed right at your branch. Metro offered this fantastic service to all members.
4. FNB only offers notary services for financial documents related to them. Metro and most other banking institutions offer this to members free of charge, for most documents.
5. Horrible online customer service. I send an online message to FNB yesterday and still have not received a response. Metro sent me a response, no matter how negative my message was, within the hour.
_Admittedly Metro Bank has spoiled me in many ways. Some might say.. well my bank has the same policies and they always have, its not really anything to complain about. I beg to differ.
As consumers, we have choices, even in banking. Federal Credit Unions are a wonderful alternative to big corporate banks. Their services are better, fees are lower, and their lending rates are lower and more flexible.
Metro bank was one of the few "modern" banks that offered modern services like the in branch bank card printing. Convenient right?
Farewell Metro Bank you will be missed.... and I won't let the door hit me on the way out of First National Bank that is for sure!
Members 1st... thank you for taking me on and securing my loans, my savings account, and my checking account. To hell with those other nickle and dimers.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

Like others, I found out quickly that FNB does everything they can to maximize THEIR profits. If you deposit funds and make debits, they'll process the debits first to cause an overdraft. Their online banking is absolutely worthless. It's inaccurate and doesn't show the true transaction history or correct chronological order of transactions. They rearrange debits to cause more overdrafts than necessary. For example, let's say you have $100 in your account and you make purchases for; $10, $15, $20 and $105, they process the $105 first to cause the other 3 transactions to be overdrafts as well. If they processed the first 3 first then you would only have one overdraft. Their mobile banking app is a waste of time and a recent update broke it. It doesn't work on a Samsung Galaxy S5 (not that old of a phone!). Their customer service reps are rude and not knowledgeable about their policies. The one I spoke with couldn't explain how they charged the fees. She had me on hold trying to figure out how to spin it and simply couldn't explain how they arrived at the fees they charged. All in all, the worst banking experience I've ever had. I'll be closing my accounts ASAP. Stay away from this bank!Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

Never fails in being the slowest drive up service out of any branch I go to in Johnstown. Moxham has nice and always friendly bank reps but the drive up windows are by far the slowest and I have to avoid this bank if I'm trying to keep a schedule.
I would love to see some improvement but after reporting it to the bang manager last year all I got was an excuse and not a way of improving the speed of service you use to get when they had a designated drive up teller. Now they are multi tasking and the customer inside always comes first.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?
