Maybe I'm lucky, but I love my branch
My branch is like and old-time neighborhood bank in the movies. Staff know your name and are very accomodating. I do not like the impersonal, megabanks. And I like to interact with humans, so no internet banking. Give your local branch a chance.

I was in your bank one day , but I couldn't help but to hear your branch manager speaking with a tone that wasn't nice . She had no class .

Probably the best banking experience of my 70+ years using banking systems. These guys are like family and always take the time to give me a thorough and friendly transaction. The book keeping is impeccable and the statements easy-to-read. When I have a special request, I can call and receive a live body rather than a robot voice and endless elevator music and complex menus. Best of all, their interest rates are higher than the big national banks in town. I've recommended One West to several friends and they thank me. I've been a businessperson here for 56 years and owned five local businesses. I am retired now and keeping track of my money is very important. One West lets me sleep very well at night.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

They have the best interest rates out of all the big banks. Its a beautiful location that used to be the old Indymac. Hardly ever a line and coffee and tea in the lobby. They actually call you to remind you when your CD is maturing and even the money market rates are 10x better than Bank of America, Chase and WF.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

I had 4 accts; 2 CDs, 1 savings and 1 money market. Long story short: You have to go into the bank for everything. I wanted to cash out my CD. I could not do it via letter of intent, over the phone or internet. Had to go in person and THEN they were going to charge me $7.00 to cut a check. I asked for the cash. No the amount was too big to give me cash. WHAT??? I refused to pay $7 to get MY money out of the bank. I could do a wire transfer but that would cost me $30!! Oh heck no. I made such a scene at the bank that they finally gave me a check without charge. I then said I was done with them and wanted to close out the checking account. I was filling out a withdrawal slip and they said I could not do that - I needed a check drawn on the checking account & then they could process it through their bank!!! WHAT??? I went home, cut a check, deposited it into my personal Chase account. The check cleared. Checking account closed. Same malarky with the savings account. I am going through this process of having to go into the bank to get my last CD money and will bring a check for the money market account and close that out as well. THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR REGULATIONS ARE RIDICULOUS !!! I even had to send them a letter of intent because I asked them to stop sending me statements on accounts that have a zero balance and that would never have any money put into them. NOT A GOOD IDEA TO BANK WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY HOLD YOUR OWN MONEY FOR RANSOM.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

This bank sucks! They refused to cash a check drawn on their bank, citing they couldn't take an id presented, even though it was valid! Even the additional form of id from another bank that they requested was rejected! The teller seemed like chicken, he didn't know what to do and he called his terrible, bespectacled, pimpled face manager who was even worse. I have never been denied bank services based on my id (which is a valid international passport), and the pimpled manager claimed to be an immigration officer of some sorts, claiming he wanted to see immigration documents!! Instead of solving the issue at hand, he started personalizing the matter, saying that i was unhappy because he didn't say what i wanted to hear! I had been served at this branch before, and never faced any issues until he came along with his ignorant, racist, biased attitude which was very apparent.
How the heck could he want to play psychologist cop by trying to enter a customer's mind? He obviously thought i had stolen checks, perhaps he was intimidated by the amount. He is definitely used to the welfare types, not hardworking professionals. He was too stupid even to call the issuers of the checks. When i suggested he could look at my ssn, he insisted on immigration documents. These people need to be closed. They are conducting shady business in this dinghy, dilapidated back-door entrance hell hole. I have since had my checks direct deposited, and will never step into this nasty, racist place again. Stay away from these losers.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

They mistakenly kept a lein on my property because of an old home equity loan from 6 years ago that they didn't close our properly. Now I'm trying to refinance and can't because it has taken them over 4 weeks and they still can't get the lein removed. They admit it was their mistake, but just keep complaining about their backlog of data. Very frustrating.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?
