About the Bank

Early in 1955, Walter T. Morey began to discuss the formation of a new bank in Decatur. On July 15, 1955, an application to organize a bank in Decatur, Illinois was submitted to the Auditor of Public Accountants. On October 17, 1955, the permit was received for the chartering of Soy Capital Bank. On June 9, 1956, Soy Capital Bank opened it's doors for business at 1501 E. Eldorado.

    Unprofessional customer service.

    This bank is good at insulting account holders with fees and charges. No customer service. Online banking service is lacking. Everyone does just enough to get by and the bank's President requires nothing more.
