About the Bank

The forerunner of The State Bank of Geneva was the Gaunt and Field Bank which was organized in 1889 and which occupied the building at 209 West State Street, which in later years was the Central Market. Charles Field bought out W. H. Gaunt's interest in the Gaunt and Field Bank in 1901.
