    Washington Customer For Fifty Years

Over the years I have always considered Washington Federal as an example of a well managed bank offering good customer service with limited risk for one's money. There were times when WF was one of the few banks that did not offer checking, Saturday opening, however one stood by the bank, due its excellent reputation. Today, as a business owner I find Washington Federal has slipped to the bottom when compared to their competition, For one week, I have been unable to go on line to review my checking accounts including credit card deposits. I have left over five messages to Customer Service with no reply. If you stay on hold for Customer Service, for over ten minutes, it automatically hangs up. In addition Washington Federal has new policy of putting a "hold"on incoming checks. My conclusion is to move on to a better managed bank where their employees are not put into a difficult position of defending poor upper management, low wages and a negative working environment.

    Involuntary supporter

Involuntary transfer from BankofAmerica when they closed in Yuma, AZ. Washington Federal is in Washington state. They do not allow address changes or account changes online. Fees continue to accrue during the period you have not personally contacted them. Address updates online also impossible. Awful bank. Similar to PNC from what I understand. Can't wait to get this account closed.

Washington Federal Bank, Is A Nightmare....

I have had my (Bank of America) account open for many years, before the local Branch was sold and it was automatically switched to (Washington Federal) which I have never heard of before. Being (Disabled) & living over 50 Miles from the next BOA Branch, I really had no choice.

I was assured by the lady working there "The Service" I receive will not change & would be great. Yeah "Great" at screwing me over!

There "Online Banking" is a utter joke, you Deposit money at 9 AM and it takes 2 days to appear in the Account. Like Buying Online? well they don't apparently, when I buy something it can take up to a Week to appear in the "Processing" part of the Account. Sometime It's like being blind! You have no sense of what is going on, no Notifications, or Status to go by.

When I ask about it with a Teller, I am told Quote "Where in the process of Upgrading our Online Banking Systems"...
Ok I guess I can understand. Then they do this Trickery where the "Process" all the High $ Items first, then the Little $ Ones last at a later date (4-12) later... Over-drafting you, all while it does not show you the "Status on the Account" In tell almost a week later when they say Ops "Looks like your over-drafting" so they tack on the "Extra $30" Late Fee per day.

And don't get me started with the ATM... If you Deposit more than $200 which is a good chance, it has this bizarre "Holding System" where only the $200 is Available, but the rest has a "4 Day" waiting period? Really?

This bank literally caused me "Stress & Anxiety" from Banking with them.
To the point i now take Med's to control it! No matter how "Careful" I was.
Deposit $500, wait a Day or Two, it would screw me over :( I have never had such a Nightmarish time Banking before in my life...

I just wanted to make a Quick Note. To people who will say "Well, why don't you Deposit it Inside?" Half of my Deposits (Where @ The Teller) :( Yeah... I had the same Issue & There Loan "System" is like the 5th level of Hell. "Loan Shark" prob would be Safer & Faster :/
