    Terrible investment/trust bank!

I had a trust account at this bank for years, during a strong stock market. Their investment department managed the account very passively, making no attempt to take advantage of the outstanding market performance, in spite of my having outlined my growth needs, goals, and a timetable in my first meeting with bank staff. Years later, the investment dept. manager told me he hadn't heard any of my presentation, even though he was looking right at me the entire time! He'd completely tuned out during the meeting!. Year to year, when there were significant downturns for an entire quarter, he was not able to respond to my concerns. I later discovered he does not monitor individual accounts on even an annual basis, let alone a quarterly one. Further, the trust account executive was incompetent, and took actions that violated the terms of the trust and basic trust law. This was a trust lawyer in that position! And this was not the first time the bank had hired an incompetent trust manager. My impression was that the trust department was overworked and chronically understaffed. It took months for me to get my account out of their clutches, to move it to a better bank.

    High Expectations, Terrible Execution

We were a customer with them for several years. in 2014 however significant churn in the Seattle office caused the appearance that employees were more worried about their own careers then taking care of the customers. As a result we had a horrific year in terms of returns, horrific customer experience & seemed to be an afterthought to their day to day activities.

Trying to breakup with them has proved to be even more disappointing. After being told, both verbally & in writing that there would be no additional fees, magic breakup fees are starting to appear requiring a $5,000 hold back!

There's a reason why their customers are fleeing the PNW location en-mass. In such a crowded marketplace, the invisible hand of poor customer service & one can only assume is going to continue to drive customers away for the near future.

    Terrible, terrible, terrible.
