Bank teller said that a credit card had no annual fee if I also had a checking account. Later, an annual fee was charged. When I called him, he said that it turned out that my particualr checking account was not eligible for this.
New federal laws prevent you from receiving overdraft fees if you do not opt in. However, they circumvent you by still charging a "nonsufficient funds fee" even though the transaction goes through.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?

Worst commercial bank yet, among 10 commercial banks I've banked with.
Summary: Do not bank with Bank of America, it offers zero worth to customers.
Having banked with Bank of America for 10 months, I can honestly say it is the worst commercial bank so far, based on my previous banking experiences. I've lived in the UK for over 10 years, and US for 2 years. I've banked with about 10 different commercial banks in the past.
For every simple thing you'd expect a bank to do for free, BoA charges you. From domestic external transactions, to having a basic account. I have not known any other bank that would so blatantly make money from their customers. Just visit BoA's official page and go to charges and fees and see for yourself.
For all four categories BoA offers no real advantage over other commercial banks in America.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?
