    Awful, Terrible, Literally The Worst Bank Ever

    Capital one bank is the worst bank i've ever dealt with in my life. I've used a lot of commercial banks in the past, including wells fargo (awesome), bank of america (okay), chase (pretty good). Capital one's customer service is horrible. The people you talk to on the phone are rude and uneducated. I called them yesterday to inquire about a letter i received from the mail stating that i signed a statement which i never did. The lady actually yelled at me, and i had to tell her to calm down. I deposited 1200 in cash through a teller since i was going abroad in a week, to find out later (with my debit card being declined in a starbucks at bangkok) that the teller ended up depositing the money to some random account.

    This was in august. This november, i deposited another large sum to pay for my rent, the atm malfunctioned and i ran into the branch to talk to the branch manager. He assured me that everything would be okay and that i would get the amount credited by the time my rent was due.... That didn't happen. I was left having to drain my savings account and a lot of rude and hostile call center people. I am withdrawing all my funds from capital one, cancelling my mastercard with them and never dealing with them again. Literally, stay away from capital one!

    Worst Banking Experience Ever

    I have a line of credit on checking account and now for the second time the bank returned items presented for payment and then charged me numerous NSF fees. When trying to clear up the line of credit issue with the bank, I was told that I did not have a line of credit for my checking account -- the bank's records did now show that I applied for nor did I have a line of credit on my account. Fortunately, I had a copy of a letter from CapitolOne stating that my line of credit had been processed for my account. I took me a week to resolve this issue with this bank. They have terrible customer service and will not admit to their errors, only keep charging you more and more banking fees. I am now going to close my account and warn anyone else to NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH CAPITAL ONE BANK.
