Bad customer service and hidden fees

Both my mom and I have had issues with this bank. My mothers story is way worse than mine. I recently over drafted my account. I walked into the bank to talk to them about the issue. The lady was very sweet and helpful. Said that in the future I could have overdraft protection and it would come right out of my savings account. She didn't mention fees, nor gave me anything written about this service. I can go online and change it myself without any fee, but since I was not aware I needed to pay close attention I over drafted again and they charged me $12 to taking if from my savings. I contacted them and said I was not told about this fee, and they said that it wasn't their fault and they could not reverse the fees! My mom overdrafted and walked into the bank and said she wanted out and nothing to do with the bank, how much did she owe as of that day and to close everything including the credit card. She started getting a bill from them about a month after claiming she still owed money and the fees kept increasing. She contacted them and asked for proof of what she owed the money for as she had went into the bank and asked what she owed and closed all accounts. She didn't get anything, it took multiple more phone calls to figure it out. They harassed her about the money calling three times or more a day. She tried to talk to them about the issue but they just continued and threatened to take her to court. Finally months after she got the proof that she owed the money and she went and paid it. The girl when she closed the accounts had not closed that account or charged her them money due even when she specifically asked about that account. So now they are going after her for late fees from all this time, even though they say they have records of all the times my mother called and spoke with them about the issue.
