    Surprised by treatment

My husband and I have had accounts with FNB for years with no problems or issues. The tellers at this branch ,however, lack customer relation skills. I went into this branch to deposit cash and I had some wrapped coin. I have gone to different FNB banks with wrapped coin and have never had a problem. The teller said she would not accept my 5 dollar coin wrappers because she felt they weren't consistent. I suggested taking one of those wrappers and count it. That was not done. I took all of the cash back and opened up a new account with another bank with no issue and will shortly be closing accounts with FNB. It is unfortunate that there is no consistency among the branches.

    Insane fees & no flexibility

My account got overdrawn by $2. It has never been overdrawn before. The day I found out about it, I made a cash & check deposit and called their "customer service" department to complain that $49 in overdraft fees for a $2 overdraw is excessive and unreasonable. Their answer - it's the bank's policy and they would not reverse even some of the charges. Since they bought Metro Bank they have cut hours, cut services, and have inflexible policies even for good, long time customers. I'll be finding a new bank and recommend you find a different one, too. BTW, how does FNB get a B+ rating on this site when every review they've received except one is one star?

    Terrible , insulting

I have been treated poorly a number of times. I've had complaints that I continually call about and I never receive return calls. I have had issues with deposits and charges that are incorrect and they are not fixed and my calls are not returned. I was told that no one could help me with being charged 74 in overdraft fees b/c I was in the negative $1.!!! They told me to call 1800 number I did and they said it's at the local branches discretion. Local branch said there is literally no one to take my complaint!!! No office or department!!

Beware of the fees - no stars here

If you close your account or don't use it often beware of all the fees.
Pay off your loan early - 1 to 5% of the balance
    Dormant fee - $10 a month
Overdraft because you forgot to tell someone/or it wasn't changed in time: $38 plus $8/day

And you don't know this ahead of time unless you read their manual.

Check out Credit Unions - much better

    RUN !!

Do I have to give a star?
Chances are, if you are used to Metro Bank policies, you will justifiably be discouraged by FNB's policies. Here are some of the differences:
    1. FNB will cover debit card automatic payments if you do not have the funds available and then charge you $37.00 in ODFs. Metro simply denied payment and didn't charge anything. (If you had payments set up as EFT or ACH, then yes they would charge you and cover it.)
    2. FNB charges $2.00 for all non-FNB ATM withdraws in addition to the ATM company's charge. Metro gave the first 4 non-ATM withdraws free each month.
    3. FNB does not carry bank card stock so you cannot get a new bank card printed right at your branch. Metro offered this fantastic service to all members.
    4. FNB only offers notary services for financial documents related to them. Metro and most other banking institutions offer this to members free of charge, for most documents.
    5. Horrible online customer service. I send an online message to FNB yesterday and still have not received a response. Metro sent me a response, no matter how negative my message was, within the hour.
_Admittedly Metro Bank has spoiled me in many ways. Some might say.. well my bank has the same policies and they always have, its not really anything to complain about. I beg to differ.
As consumers, we have choices, even in banking. Federal Credit Unions are a wonderful alternative to big corporate banks. Their services are better, fees are lower, and their lending rates are lower and more flexible.
Metro bank was one of the few "modern" banks that offered modern services like the in branch bank card printing. Convenient right?
Farewell Metro Bank you will be missed.... and I won't let the door hit me on the way out of First National Bank that is for sure!
Members 1st... thank you for taking me on and securing my loans, my savings account, and my checking account. To hell with those other nickle and dimers.

FNB First National Bank just a rude unprofessional bank

Been a member since it was Parkvale but they got bought out by First Nation Bank. So I wrote a check for $40 co-pay , same day went and deposited a money order for $30 thru the ATM thinking no big deal. Next day the check hit and they charged me $37 NSF fee because even though I made the deposit and it was on the ledger , it was thru the ATM and said it wouldn't be available until midnight the next day. Really? This little rediculous transaction is now costing them 4 customers. My father already dropped them awhile ago and I know they don't care but save yourself the hassle and get with a good credit union or a more personal and friendly bank like Slovenian Savings and Loan. Yes the same day.

Stay Far Away From This Bank.

These people bought the bank that i had used for 40 years. Things went south in a hurry. After 40 years of no fees and great online banking - all of a sudden there was about $300 of fees and worthless online banking. The online banking is so inaccurate - you'll need an excel spreadsheet to figure out all the creative ways that fnb has their greedy hands in your pockets and your bank balance as a result. When i went to close my account, the branch manager had to call the home office to figure out my balance. (if she didn't know my balance, what chance did i have? ) also, the debit card never worked after numerous calls to customer service - and at least 50% of the time, the atms didn't work. Just stay away from these opportunist greedy bloodsuckers.
