Regions Bank Branch Customer Reviews
SAReviewed By Sonji A. Sep 24, 2013
I noticed a pending charge from Walmart.com that wasn't made by me while viewing my account online. The amount was large enough to overdraw my account. I called Regions and told them what was going on and was told to call Walmart.com & file a police report. I called Walmart.com & went through the whole process again and was told they would cancel the order and withdraw the request for the money & then filed the police report. The next day when I looked at my account-I noticed 2 NSF (72.00) even though the money was still pending. I went to the bank branch & talked to the manager. She told me she couldn't return the money but would forward the information & a copy of the police report to someone who could. The response from that person was that Walmart.com was responsible for refunding the NSF charges. That made no sense to me but I called Walmart.com & they gave me an email address and told me to write an explanation and to send certain documents for their consideration.
I called Regions today. Waited for a banker, told the story again, she said she couldn't refund but half of one charge ($18.00) because it wasn't their fault. I told her I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She hung up on me. I called back and told the story again and the banker I talked to couldn't help me. I asked to speak to her supervisor. He got on the phone & started talking in circles telling me it wasn't Regions fault. Then in almost the same breath, told me the branch manager should have informed me of the procedure to get the money back. To be honest, I kept hammering him until he finally refunded $36.00. I asked him about the other $18.00 & he said Walmart.com would have to give it to me. I will call again tomorrow & every day after that until I get the other $18.00. I wish someone would explain why Walmart.com is responsible for reimbursing me when Regions has the money. To me that would be like buying at Target and wanting Walmart to give you the refund. I don't get it!Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?
