So, sometime in 2013 I went to Provident on 26th street to change my address. The teller sat there on her ass typing away for 20 minutes and I thought she was actually doing something.
After 20 minutes she told me I was all set and my address had been changed.
Now its 01/14/14, I called customer service for another reason and I find out that the address on my account is still the old one, which is why I haven't received the letter they sent out to tell me my card has been inactivated.
First of all, I have a smart checking account, the one that requires you to receive e-statements. Why didn't they just send me a secure message on my account? How about an email? Or why not call me when you notice I haven't activated the new card you supposedly sent me three weeks ago?
Now I have to visit another branch to have some incompetent teller attempt to change my address again and wait who knows how long to receive a new debit card.
I complained via email and the supervisor of blah blah blah called me to tell me she will call the Bayonne branch tomorrow to verify that I changed my address. How does that help me, Provident? I told her what's done is done and I will be leaving Provident as soon as possible.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?
