I have been a customer for over 20 years
I have gone into the Archibald/Rancho cucamonga Branch every 2 weeks for the past 4 years to cash my in home support check from The California state
My son broke his back and is paralyzed, all the bank tellers and the managers knew of his accident and condition. I have told them all that I run into to cash his check I have someone watching him at the house, just in case he falls out of his chair.
In February 2018 I was told they could no longer cash my state check
I would need to come to the bank two days! One to deposit it then come back the next day to withdraw the cash. I stressed to them the inconvenience of this due to my situation. I even spoke to the manager Kathy S and the district manager Jeff Nace, neither of them cared. I asked what changed that now I have to come in twice, he responded they had a system upgrade and changed their system. He was unwilling to help, at that point I informed him that I will be closing all 4 of my accounts and moving to another bank. I was appalled by the way they treated me a customer of their for the past 20 plus years! my recommendation AVOID US Bank!!

Watch for the excess mileage scam

I assumed a US Bank lease on a car in 2015. To begin with, their online payment system is terrible. If you log on prior to the payment due date, the website shows $0 due. There is no option to schedule automatic payments. You can only make a payment at the moment you are logged on. Its very inconvenient. Worse, my lease allowed for 20,000 miles per year. I paid a premium on the payment for the extra miles. I turned the car in with 12,000 miles less that the allowance at lease end. US Bank proceeded to bill me $7,000 for excess mileage. I called twice and sent a letter to no avail. They insisted I went over the allowed mileage by a completely arbitrary number and refused to acknowledge the miles stated on the lease. It was not until I sent them a certified letter with a copy of the lease and threatened to sue that they stopped bothering me. They badly overestimated the residual value and tried to make up some of the loss by sticking me with the mileage charge, betting that I didn't have the original lease. To this day, they have still not acknowledged that the account is satisfied

Circleville, Ohio US Bank - Investment Funds Wire Rejected & Charged $150 - Thieves!

Was required by my retirement investment company to get a Medallion Signature Guarantee from my local US Bank, to wire transfer retirement funds to my checking account with US Bank in Circleville. Went directly to this bank and sat before the branch manager and she had signed the paperwork and put the banks Medallion Sig. Guarantee on it, as well as made copies of it for their files. I then overnighted that bank paperwork to my investment company as required. A total of 253K was being wired to my account with US Bank, in 3 separate wire transfers from my investment company, and US Bank gave their banks Medallion Sig. Guar. to allow it to be wired into my account with them. One day before the funds hit the account, I had called US Bank, to discuss options to move some of these funds back out of US Bank, once the 3 wired amounts, totaling 253K had arrived to US Bank. I was given nothing but mega questions and argument, when I wanted to then move these funds from US Bank to pay off major bills. They agreed for the 3 wires totaling 253K to come into their bank, but then when I asked to take it out, they refused. They then rejected the wired funds from coming in, that we'd just set up, plus they also canceled my checking account with them and mailed me a bank check for the $1,715, I'd had in my checking acct. with them. When rejecting those wires and sending them back to my investment company, they'd charged $50 per rejected wire for a total of $150. They did NOT tell me they were going to charge me $50 per rejected wire, nor gave me any options to pay this out of my checking acct. with them. They actually took this $150, DIRECTLY from my retirement funds that I was wiring to them! Didn't even cost anywhere near $150 from my investment company to wire the funds TO US Bank initially! US Bank had now changed the balance of my retirement funds that were being rejected and sent back to my investment company. To be in the right, they should NEVER have wasted my time in bringing them my investment paperwork for a Medallion Signature Guarantee, and even allow the initial wires totaling 253K to even come into their bank, only to reject the incoming funds and then deceitfully take $150 out of it, to wire them back. WHAT is wrong with this bank? They wanted my 253K in their bank, then when they found out I was NOT going to be leaving it in their bank, they rejected the wired funds, and deceitfully charged $150 to wire them back AND canceled my checking account to boot! What kind of banking business is this? I would NEVER recommend US Bank to have anything to do with your money. They are all happy when money is coming into their bank, but do NOT want you taking it out, as they believe you are involved in a scam when you want YOUR MONEY. They will refuse your wire transfer of money, IF they know you have plans to withdrawal it. US Bank is very deceitful in their methods and reasons to have done this. They believe they are doing good business and saving their bank customers from scams? US Bank is who is scamming, and everyone needs to be watching out for this, if you ever try to move major money into your checking acct at US Bank. They made $150 bucks off my retirement funds, deceitfully...that's a scam! Cheap, deceitful little town, can't move major money, even though it's legitimately yours to move. I'm so angry and outraged at what they've done with this entire process. IF, I didn't have plans for these investment funds already, I would start litigation with US Bank for their deceptive banking procedures, just for the principle of it all.

Derek "helped" me today when I called about some over draft charges and belittled me. He kept repeating "this is not a bank error" when I tried to speak. He acted as though he needed to win against a woman by talking louder and making me repeat myself as I was emotional about being charged hundreds of dollars due to them "helping" me move funds to savings to save for my baby on the way...another reason I am very emotional right now.
This instead depleted my baby fund by over $300 and Derek keep me on hold for ten minutes while he "checked it out" then repeated his catch phrase "it's not a bank error. Can't help you"
Customer service used to mean something at US Bank and it's sad that a point of contact person can ruin your image of a company because they are so rude when you ask for help.
My husband and I are transferring all of our savings, checking and business account to another local banks so we will never be treated so poorly again.

ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ONLINE ACCESS

Recently circumstances have necessitated that I use my US Bank Checking account, an account which I haven't really used in a decade. Now I remember why.

It was so long ago the account was never online and I definitely don't have a bank card. I don't need a bank card; all I need is online access. HOWEVER, In order to get online access a bank card is required. OK.

    SO:
    - First, I have to wait a week to get the card in the mail.
    - Then, in order to activate the card it says a pin (which I don't have yet) is required. So I called the number and after ten plus minutes the person I (finally) reached activates my card without the "required" pin.
    - BUT a pin is still required for online access. So, I still have to wait a few more days for my PIN.
    - My PIN finally arrives and I set it aside because I don't have time to get to it till later.
    - Now I can't seem to find the letter (think hubby may have shredded it) and I have to WAIT FOR ANOTHER to be sent. THERE IS NO WAY THEY WILL JUST HELP YOU OVER THE PHONE.

I've never encountered this with any other institution. Not one of my three other bank accounts. Not any of my savings or retirement accounts. THEY DEFINITELY DON'T SEEM TO WANT MY BUSINESS. STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN.

Worst Bank Ever (I Would Give Zero Stars If I Could)

They don't just have hidden fees, they flat out lie about them. I had problems from the very beginning; first I was told the only overdraft protection I could get was by opening one of their credit cards. I couldn't activate my credit card when I first received it, because their ATM wasn't working. Then I received 8 overdraft fees in the first month, because, "We hold all deposits for 30 days on new accounts, sorry no one informed you of that." Why wasn't it protected by my credit card, oh right, you didn't activate your credit card within 10 days of opening the account. I finally left them when the began charging me monthly fees on my FREE checking account. I had while there opened a Certificate Deposit, and was told, if I withdraw early, I forfeit any interest, (which I understand is common) so I left the CD, for the time, but needed it when this summer when buying my house. When closing the CD I said, "I know I have to forfeit my interest. She said, "Yes, that's correct." Imagine my surprise when she brought me a check for 200.00 less then my original deposit. Apparently you don't only forfeit interest, but some of your own money as well, and it does not go down no matter how close you are to your maturation date. I was livid, but am writing this review now, because I just received a 1099-INT for the INTEREST THEY SAID I FORFEITED! Seriously, how can you call it my income, when you not only kept it, but I lost money for having that account with you. I will not be claiming that as income, and will litigate if needed. And if any of that (or all the other countless negative reviews I'm seeing) isn't enough, know they are funding the Dakota Access Pipeline.

The CD had been in the bank for 5 years and was 1 week past the automatic renewal time. When my husband requested the rollover, they charged us 3 percent or $215.68 to rollover to a CD paying more. This is more than the CD would made in a year. Plus they charged a $55.00 administrative fee. This administrative fee cannot be found in their guidelines.

They were not customer service oriented. The first representative said he would take care of it. But he did nothing. It had to be requested several times. We had to have Edward Jones send them a letter and still they stalled. It took them a month to handle the rollover request.

    Awful

I left Old National after banking there for years because my work was banking through US Bank, and I loved the customer service I would receive when making work transactions. My first bad experience didn't happen until about a year in, up until then, I thought US bank was the best bank I could imagine having. I had never over drafted any checking account of mine, but mistakes are too be made. One day after getting an overdraft notice, I go to the bank to investigate. The bank apologizes and says their fault, refunds the fee. The next day when checking my account, everything is fine, and I go to make a deposit. After depositing my money, three more fees have been added to my checking account that "must have happened when the other one sent my checking account into the negative." Considering that US Bank claimed fault for the first one and said it was their mistake, it seems silly that I was left with so many fees after their mistake. They told me, "since they already refunded the one, they couldn't do anything about it." I went through three different tellers and got three different answers about the fees. US Bank is out to make your dollar. I just got a letter in the mail about a Class Action Settlement against US Bank illegally obtaining over draft fees.

Long story short- do not bank with US Bank!

Most Horrible Experience Ever. These People Try To Take Any Money They Can, Hold As Much As They Can For As Long As They Can.

Any time my account is low, they take fees for anything they can pull out of their hats until you are overdrawn. Most recent experience, 8/3 deposited $2,500 for purpose of paying bills and did not have access to the funds for 4 days; before i had access to most of the funds ($200 allowed), on the 3rd day, i needed money, so i deposited another check, thinking i would have access to at least $200 more, but i could not squeeze a dime out of them, though i told them i am out of gas, have my elderly mother in extreme heat in the car, we had to leave car a mile away and take a taxi home.

The reason given was that they counted that day's deposit in with friday's, so i could only get $200 between the two deposits, which i already had gotten last friday. So i paid my bills on tuesday, believing i would then have access to the two deposits. Wrong again. They decided to put a hold on the 2nd check deposited because they said they had reason to believe the check would be returned to the bank it was written on! It was my mother's check, who has never written a rubber check, i have never deposited a check that did not fund and there was absolutely no reason for them to hold my funds.

Then they changed it to the reason now is because i have had too many nsf's in the past--guess what, it is due to the fees they indiscriminately take and refuse to reverse most of the time, and i put money in to cover it immediately upon finding out it is overdrawn. I now have no money, little gas, have appointments where i need to pay to have my dog seen by vet, no food in the house and they say they are holding the entire check for one week from today, which would total 9 days since my deposit.

Try to find out who to talk to above these incompetents is a secret that they don't let out, saying she is in charge and is as high as it gets. She is high alright, i agree with that--and full of herself as well.

    Devastating Experience

    Utterly Wretched and Horrible!!

The is by far the most perfect example of allowing unqualified, unethical, and purely biased employees to hold positions of which they have NO comprehension.

I assure every reader that this is not an unjustified rant. It is an eye opening experience that everyone interested in this branch location should be aware of. I have 7 years management and 10 years customer service experience with an acute understanding of ethical business practices.

Initially, I had recommended US Bank to my wife because I had only positive experiences with the company in the past - in another state. Other locations have been pleasant and professional to deal with.

However, there is a senior employee - forgoing a name, I will say it is a female with long black hair - that had demonstrated the highest degree of negligible customer service my wife and I had ever the displeasure of experiencing.

My wife was in tears from the discrimination and disrespect she suffered - caused by this woman. Yelling, refusing to cash a company check, insulting, belittling, and intimidation tactics... This in No Way is the mission statement of the company nor is it a acceptable interaction between a representative and customer.

The incident was brought to the attention of US Bank's regional Security Department and a decision was made - by them - to close my wife's account.

All attempts to reason with the Security Department against the mistreatment and final decision were pointless. There was no regard to the victimization of my wife, and no mention of the associate's actions. They are pro-company and 100% biased...

Please make certain a similar incident does not happen to yourself or someone you care for..
