    Terrible Customer Service- Wells Fargo Bank

    After being long time customers (50 years) of this bank, I was treated very badly and will be closing my safe deposit box. My recent experience was the worst possible because of the new Store Manager, Angelica Nunez. I was going to access my safe deposit box and was denied due to this incompetent person. She lacks banking knowledge, customer service and communication skills. Even though I am an authorized signer/person on the safe deposit rental agreement and had accessed the box in the past, she said my name didn't show up in her computer. According to her the paper documentation which supported my claim is unofficial.(?) This sounds like an internal bank problem and should not affect customers. My parents decided years ago to add my siblings and me onto the box as authorized signers. All paperwork was completed with the bank manager at that time. This was done in case of emergencies so that we could access the belongs in the box. Their host computer system may have limitations on how many names appear on the computer.

    Not only that, when I asked to speak to her supervisor, she refused and wanted me to leave. She had her mind set and refused to offer any assistance or help. She did not offer any alternatives and no apologies. Now, since I have more than 25 years in banking, I know protocol and the escalation process for situations of this nature. I called their corporate number to locate a Regional VP. I couldn't believe how this young girl treated me. I'm worried that she will do things to our accounts because she doesn't want to get reprimanded. I would NOT recommend this branch solely due this negative experience. I would suggest the bank provide her with customer service training. I would like to speak to the President of Wells Fargo Bank about this incident.
