A bit frustrating due to errors by staff
I setup an estate account and was assured that everything was in order to handle the account. A month or so after the setup was completed I had to return to the branch and deliver the same paperwork used initially to setup the account as the data was lost between the branch and the Wells Fargo back office that would have used the data to verify the account setup. I was assured that everything was good after my second trip to the branch office.
However, today I realized that the estate account had a service fee even though my three accounts had a balance above the minimum required amount to keep the account free of a service fee. I contacted Wells Fargo by phone and was told they could not resolve the problem and I would have to get it resolved by once again going in to the branch office to properly get the three accounts I have linked so that I would not get the service fee charge!
Strangely though, an hour after I talked to Wells Fargo my estate account got the service fee reversed?
In the meantime I had called the branch office here in Colorado Springs. The receptionist said the branch manager was with a customer and would call me back as soon as they could do so. I went through this same scenario the second time I had to contact the branch. I had left my name and number but never got a call back. As of this moment I am still awaiting my call back. I am doubtful it will come!
Overall my dealing with Wells Fargo has been frustrating because I quite often find service charges against my accounts even though I meet the criteria for accounts not to have a service fee. Once, over a few months time I had not reviewed my statements and when I finally did there were service fees for several months consecutively. When I contacted Wells Fargo they initially told me they could not go back more than a couple of months to reverse service fees. I then spoke to a manager and told them I would cancel all WF accounts if they did not reverse the fees. Then they did!Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?
