illogical Surepay rules
ORIGINAL MESSAGE TO WELLS FARGO:
this explanation of transfers is less accurate than it could be:
Sending Limits: For your security, we restrict the amount of money you can send to recipients. The amount of money you can send will vary based on your history of transfers to each recipient. Initially, you will be able to send a maximum of $1,000/$2,000 per day with a maximum of $2,000 over 30 calendar days.
INSTEAD OF SAYING PER DAY YOU NEED TO SAY PER 24 HOURS OR WHATEVER YOUR SET NUMBER OF HOURS IS. I TRANSFERRED SOME MONEY LAST NIGHT AND TRIED TO DO IT AGAIN TODAY AND WAS PREVENTED FROM DOING SO. PER DAY MEANS THAT IF I SENT MONEY ON THE 27th, WHEN THE 28th ARRIVES I CAN DO IT AGAIN.
Dear Dan J:
Thank you for contacting Wells Fargo. It is my pleasure to assist you
Let me explain to you in detail:
I would like to tell you about the Period of time for Daily or 30-day
Please Note: A new day starts after 7:00 pm, Pacific Time (which is
after the cut-off time for Wells Fargo SurePay). For example, if
customers make a transfer at their daily limit at 2:00 pm, Pacific Time
today, they will be able to make another transfer at 7:01 pm, Pacific
Time the next day.
My reply: WHY WOULD YOU INVENT DIFFERENT RULES FOR WHEN A DAY STARTS? WHY NOT OPERATE WITH THE CONVENTIONAL UNDERSTANDING OF WHEN A DAY BEGINS?
ACCORDING TO THE RULES YOU LAID OUT ABOVE, SENDING THE DAILY LIMIT AT 2PM JAN 27 MEANS THAT I CAN DO IT AGAIN AT 7:01PM JAN 27TH BECAUSE, ACCORDING TO YOU, THAT IS THE BEGINNING OF A NEW DAY. SO YOUR 'EXPLANATION IN DETAIL' IS NOT AT ALL SATISFACTORY.Thank you for your feedback Is this review helpful?
