The bank that coins itself “America’s Most Convenient Bank” announced today that it will soon be expanding it services to the state of Rhode Island. TD Bank has chosen Barrington, Bristol County as the starting point and from there plans to expand throughout the state. With this move, TD Bank will now offer it’s 7 day service to 13 states throughout New England, the Mid-Atlantic, and Florida.
TD Bank also made another large announcement by naming Robet A. Kolb as the market president for TD Bank in Rhode Island. A current member of TD Bank, Kolb will expand his services beyond market president for the institutions Central and Western Massachusetts markets.
With the announcement Kolb had the following to say; “I am excited to take on this new role, and look forward to introducing Rhode Islanders to the TD Bank brand as we grow and hire through the region.”
During a struggling economy and most banks closing branches with the shift to online/mobile banking, a growth strategy such as this from TD Bank is both refreshing and important to Rhode Island as it introduces new jobs.
