will be live streaming as Obama plans to sign the tax cut extension bill into law at 3:50 p.m ET on Friday afternoon. The final decision to approve the bill came in a 277-148 House vote late Thursday night.

The sensitivity around the weak economy and fast approaching tax-cut expiration date added a lot of pressure for politicians to reach a decision. A widely discussed part of the package is a two-year extension to the Bush-era tax cuts. Another part of the bill that will provide some relief to the unemployed by extending benefits for 13 months.
