A whopping 1.65% APY 10-Month CD is being offered by Dime Savings Bank when you also open a Prime Dime Rewards Checking or Dime Rewards Checking account. This limited time offer is rather enticing compared to other short-term CD products currently available.
Dime Savings Bank in New York is running a rare bank deal with a highly competitive CD rate that requires new customers to also open one of Dime’s reward checking accounts. The promotional Dime 10-Month CD rate tops the 12-Month CD 1.41% APY and 24-Month CD 1.60% APY from Bank of Internet.
Dime 10-Month 1.65% APY Promotional CD
The Dime 10-Month CD with a promotional rate of 1.65% APY has these requirements:
- Customer must also open a Prime Dime Rewards Checking or Dime Rewards Checking account
- $500 minimum opening deposit
- $100,000 maximum deposit
- New customers only
- Offer is limited to one account per household
The Dime Rewards Checking Accounts
To get the 1.65% APY 10-Month CD, a new Dime customer must open either a Prime Dime Rewards Checking account or Dime Rewards Checking account.
Both accounts require direct deposit or use of Dime’s online bill payment services; otherwise, you may be forced to close your account. Also, up to $10 will be refunded for transactions fees incurred at non-Dime ATMs each month that balance requirements are met.
The Prime Dime Rewards Checking account is an interest-bearing checking account with an underwhelming tiered interest payout from 0.10% APY (for balances of $5,000 and less) to 0.35% APY (for balances of $50,000 and over). In order to avoid a $15 monthly fee, you have to maintain a $5,000 average daily balance.
The Dime Rewards Checking account is a non-interest bearing checking account that requires an average daily balance of $2,500 to waive the $12 monthly account fee.
